TruckMap™ Field CE provides all functions to the field crews using a variety of inexpensive Windows CE handheld computers and PDA's. TruckMap™ Field PC provides information to field crews using powerful Windows mobile and tablet computers. TruckMap™ Office integrates field crews and supervisors with database, communications and enterprise systems. Table 1, TruckMap™ Field, describes the software available for both Windows PC and Windows CE platforms. Table 2, TruckMap™ Office, includes all the features of TruckMap™ Field, and adds data management, data logging and communications.

LLC provides Trimble's ruggedized Recon data collection computer. We offer field computers from Advantec, Trimble Navigation, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, iPAQ, Panasonic ToughBook, and others. We include free software and data installation with these computers. Other customer-supplied equipment may require TruckMap*™ certification or integration services. TruckMap™ Communications Platforms TruckMap*™ supports most industry-standard WAN/LAN/WLAN Internet Protocol communications, including CDPD, CDMA/1xRTT, GSM/GPRS, AMPS/TDMA/CDMA, 900 Mhz and 1.8 Mhz cellular, Wireless Ethernet (WiFi, 802.11a, 802.11b, 80211.g), Ricochet high-speed wire-free Internet, and digital cellular phones, including NexTel. har*GIS LLC is an authorized dealer for Richochet (176kbps Internet), and for NexTel.
TruckMap*™ supports all relational databases compliant with ODBC, ADO and SQL, including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle and Informix. har*GIS LLC provides street navigation database from Navigation Technologies and Geographic Data Technologies.
TruckMap*™ integrates a highly compressed spatial database that provides very rapid performance with large amounts of geographic data. For instance, streets, addresses and driving instructions for the entire state of Colorado occupy less than 70 MB of storage. The spatial database includes a simple ASCII interface to load a selected area from multiple GIS sources, and one to dump an area back into the ASCII format.
